PE trip to “Bosque   Vertical” (October 1, 2019)

Students have been practising different balanced-based sports in a natural environment.

“Skateboards and Scooters” workshop (October 14, 2019)

Students skateboard and ride their scooters to work on balance and cooperation skills.

Yoga workshops (February 19 – March 1, 2020)

We’ve been implementing Yoga workshops where two trained teachers have been helping our school students to focus on their bodies and their minds. 

Hiking the hills near La Llagosta (January 8 – March 25, 2020)

We are also working on the environment during the 2nd term to get ready for our environment guide for C3 mobility. Therefore, students are involved in different trips in the area to get to know nature and animal life, environmental factors that may cause harm, and appreciate a healthy lifestyle just hiking the hills near La Llagosta (Spain).

Promoting healthy lifestyle. (October 1 – November 25, 2019)

Our students are working on a Catalan culture costume to show our partners when they are coming to INS Marina in some weeks…. this celebration helps us to live a healthy life in community.

Environment local activities (September 25 – December 20, 2021)

Our school community has been working on suggesting and trying to implement some measures to become a greener school as this Padlet indicates.

Our students visited the surrounding area of our high school to get some samples from water and other plants to check pollution levels in the area. They also analysed different types of plants and organised a programme to clean up the area.


Our students took part in a school workshop in order to prevent and reduce waste. As a present, all students were given eco-friendly sandwich packaging. 

Our school organised a photography contest in the La Llagosta community based on sustainability where students, teachers, families and other local authorities could take part.

Our 1st CSE students worked on a school project to conduct a research on noise pollution in our classes under the supervision of the Music teacher. 

Visit to Recerca Biomèdica Park in Barcelona where students did some activities based on the factors that affect people’s lives due to noise pollution in the city. 

Screen Use local activities (March, 2020)

Participation in the European Programming Weekwhere students attend workshops to learn programming and making a responsible use of technology and social media.

Our Spanish students have been dealing with screen use consequences during the 2nd term to make the La Llagosta community aware of their seriousness.  This video has been recorded by students themselves in their community and has been projected in school websites and in C2 in Croatia to our Erasmus partners and students. Heal Me Spain organised a 6-week photo journal challenge to help the students to show how they were living under lockdown for 2 and a half months. By means of dealing with several dimensions of wellness (physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, social and environmental) students showed the way they kept healthy and fit, read, cook, recycle, water plants etc… They also showed us the place they would like to be if they could, everything that motivates them or entertains them during this unusual time we’re unfortunately living in.The result has been this rich Padlet on which students and teachers posted regularly their pictures and comments during the lockdown time.

Off-school visits. (October, 2021)

Visit to Parc Científic in Barcelona. Students attended monologues based on how good and healthy our Mediterranean diet is. Students also took part by means of recording a video to represent daily scenes in our daily diet.

Students visited La Llagosta Treatment Plant and conducted a survey based on taking water samples in different sections from Besòs river to check the plant’s efficiency filtering psychochemical factors. Students were also analysing wildlife in the area.

Visit to Botanical Gardens in Barcelona where students got to know our Mediterranean flora and fauna.

Students were encouraged to check this Treatment Plant efficiency when filtering water in order to reduce psychophysical factors in our local river Bèsos.

European celebrations at school (October 13 – 15, 2021)

During three different days at school Institut Marina (13th, 14th, 15th October 2021), we held Erasmus Days where our project students informed others about their experience participating in these projects. We’ve been working on Erasmus for the last 12 years, and we continue doing so, as well as getting involved on Etwinning projects.Our students played quizzes in groups as well as Europe games, and they even got prizes! E-Twinning Day (May 9, 2021)

9th May Etwinning Day celebration: INS Marina High school in La Llagosta, Spain, celebrated 9th May day Etwinning and Europe day by means of involving students in a gymkana made up of virtual games to deal with geographical features, languages and cultural issues from other European countries. We also had a very good time!
